Women With Children Program
Recovering from addiction is never easy. Recovering women with children face even more challenges. Because we at Community and Family Resources recognize that these additional challenges can become obstacles to recovery, we support women with children by providing additional services to fill in the gaps and overcome the roadblocks.
Community and Family Resources understands that the road to recovery can be a long and bumpy one for the whole family. Because we understand that addiction is a family disease, emphasis is placed on providing support to the whole family throughout the process.
The HUGS (Helping Us Grow Strong) program is the link between women with children and the resources they need to grow strong and heal. HUGS provides additional mentoring services, referrals and advocacy between community-based resources and the people who need them most. HUGS can provide transportation and child care assistance allowing women with children to attend treatment and other health related services.
In-home services as well as on-site treatment allow women with children the flexibility they need to succeed. Women’s issues groups as well as parenting, self esteem and other self-care groups are offered.
HUGS is one of many services provided at CFR that allow people the opportunity to grow and heal while retaining dignity.
